Founded in 1965 by André Belzile, Les Pétroles Belzile enr. Associated with Murphy's Oil (SPUR). The business became independent in 1975 by acquiring a tractor-trailer for deliveries. In August 1980, Mr. Belzile and his children, who are closely involved, incorporated the business. Soon after, the Belzile's trade mark was shown for the first time. Through the years, the business expanded to become the first independent petroleum products corporation to have it's head office in the Lac-St-Jean region. It is also a member of Quebec's Petroleum Industry's Independents Association (In French AQUIP) since 1995.

Les Pétroles A. Belzile inc., Constituted under Part 1 A of Quebec's law of corporations, is both a retailer and a wholesaler of gas and lubricants. The corporation owns a service stations network, a ground depot, a heating oil and equipment distribution service.
